Who thought painting could be so fun? On August 11, the Bears learned you can help your school and have fun doing it. Before the new school year started, the Bears did a service project for Shades Cahaba Elementary School by painting graffiti off the tunnel walls. The tunnel goes under Highway 31 to allow a safe crossing to the school. During the summer months, the tunnel is rarely used and becomes an active hive for graffiti artists. Armed with paint and rollers, the Bears set a record pace in painting over the graffiti. Afterwards, at the School’s Supply Day, the principal mentioned how happy the School was to have a freshly painted tunnel. Great job Bears!
