This year is the 40th anniversary of Homewood High School and to help celebrate, the school opened up the homecoming parade participants to groups all across the city. Most notably was past graduates from Homewood marching.
The Shades Cahaba Principal asked us to participate and help represent our school. Most of our kids go to Shades Cahaba and we are the unofficial Shades Cahaba Pack so of course we said yes. If there is one thing a scout likes to do and that’s march in a parade.
Thanks to all the parents who got their kids out of school, dressed in their uniforms and to the start of the parade in time. We had a great time.
The marching doesn’t end here. We already have plans to march in the Veteran’s Day parade in downtown Birmingham and the Homewood Christmas parade. We hope to see you there.
