Our fall hike at Red Mountain Park last month was a lot of fun. Now we have a chance to help the Park and help our community by doing our Leave No Trace Service Project. The trail entrance gets littered with trash and with the Park opening this November, our Pack is going to help make the area look better.  Join us on Saturday, September 24th, at 3:00 pm at the trail entrance of the sharp turn on Lyon Lane (just off of Lakeshore Parkway). Use 277 Lyon Lane if you are looking for directions on the internet (this is the main office down the street from the entrance).

Make sure you and your Scout are wearing bright colored clothes (the yellow class B Pack t-shirt prefered).  We will be cleaning next to an active road, so we want to make sure everyone is visible to the public. Bring gloves and trash bags. Also, bring plenty of water. If the weather does not cooperate, we will have a rain date of October 1st at 3:00 pm.  Please join us as we help our community and your Scout will be one step closer to earning another patch!

Bears: If you went to Summer Day Camp and you earn this award you will be very close to earning your Outdoor Activity Award. Look in the Bear Handbook page 284 for requirements or download this pdf file.
